Description
With years of experience in Subaru engine development, TiC has refined solutions that have powered everything from spirited daily drivers to track-record-setting cars, national Time Attack championships, and even the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb.
Each Turn In Concepts shortblock is built to order and tailored specifically to your goals and intended use. Because of this, there are a couple of important points to note:
-
After placing your order, you will receive an email to discuss your current setup and future plans. This ensures your shortblock is configured correctly for your application.
-
Built-to-order construction means there is some lead time before shipping. During the conversation, a more accurate timeline for delivery can be provided
These Stage 2 Street Shortblocks are the natural next step for Subaru enthusiasts looking to push beyond the limits of a Stage 1 build. Designed to address common OEM weaknesses in the bottom end, these shortblocks offer a balance of performance, durability, and affordability. Ideal for daily-driven vehicles or budget-conscious builds, Stage 2 shortblocks provide increased strength, improved engine geometry, and support for higher power levels.
Stage 2 Street Shortblock Features:
- New Subaru EJ257 case halves and crankshaft
- Callies +2mm H-beam rods with ARP2000 hardware
- JE 99.5mm Subaru Time Attack “FSR” pistons
- ACL main and rod bearings
- Ring gaps and bearing clearances set using TiC’s extensive Subaru engine experience
- Rated for 550 awhp (case is the limiting factor)
- Hand-assembled for precision and durability
- 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty
Stage 2 shortblocks are perfect for drivers seeking reliable power beyond Stage 1, whether on the street or occasional track use, without breaking the bank.
Note: If you are using D25 heads, a slightly thicker head gasket is required due to the smaller combustion chamber. TiC recommends JE .039″ head gaskets.
