2. Built-to-order construction means there is some lead time before shipping. During the conversation, a more accurate timeline for delivery can be provided

Stage 1 Shortblock Features:

• New EJ257 crankshaft and rods
• JE 99.5mm Subaru Time Attack “FSR” pistons
• Ring gaps set using TiC’s extensive Subaru engine experience
• Hand-assembled in an environmentally controlled clean room at 68°F year-round
• Industry-leading ultrasonic and hand cleaning prior to assembly

Stage 1 shortblocks address the primary limitation of the factory EJ series shortblock, including brittle cast pistons and overly tight ring gaps that restrict performance.

Note: If you are using D25 heads, a slightly thicker head gasket is required due to the smaller combustion chamber. TiC recommends JE .039″ head gaskets.
