These polyurethane shifter bushings are designed to eliminate the unwanted free play found in the factory shifter linkage, giving you a noticeably tighter, more precise shift feel. The stock linkage uses a U-joint style assembly with soft rubber bushings and sleeve bearings. Over time, the rubber compresses and the generous factory tolerances create excess lateral movement—what you feel as shifter slop.

These bushings directly address the second major source of play: the gap between the factory sleeve bearings and the OEM rubber bushings. By replacing the soft rubber with high-quality polyurethane engineered to much tighter tolerances, these bushings greatly reduce flex and compression while still maintaining acceptable NVH levels. The result is a more solid, connected shift experience and a defined “click” into each gear.
